The AIGS Library holds a massive permanent collection of original English & Welsh Census records, thanks to the generosity of it's members.


1841  CENSUS
The original census records are available for many or all areas of most Counties with Pieces available on over 500 films and others on microfiche. Many films hold several Piece Numbers.
A number of Counties are now complete and others will be soon.
The Catalogue for each County has details of the films or fiche held for that area as well as an alpha sort of the Parishes covered with the relevant film or fiche number.

1851  CENSUS
The original census records are available for many or all areas of most Counties on over 700 films and with other Pieces available on microfiche. A growing number of Counties are completely covered including London & Middlesex and Cornwall.
The Catalogue for each County has details of the films or fiche held for that area as well as an alpha sort of the Parishes covered with the relevant film or fiche number.
