CENSUS.

The A.I.G.S. Library holds a permanent collection of original Scottish Census records, thanks to the generosity of it's members who continue to support the Institute's Census Appeal. This collection is part of the largest collection of United Kingdom census material in Australia and is continually growing.

1881  CENSUS.

Transcription project undertaken by the Family History Societies of Scotland with the LDS Church. 
This Census project is now available for all Counties on microfiche.

Each County then has a set of fiche consisting of a Surname Index, Birth Index,
Census Place Index, As Enumerated, Misc. Notes, Ships, Institutions. 
Access by using the Surname Index. 
Use the first of the 4 numbers at the end of the row to identify the correct "As Enumerated" fiche.
