This is a special service for Country, Interstate and International
Members
Members must be financial and are then entitled to two hours free
research each year (A Country member is defined as
one who lives further than 100 km from the Melbourne GPO)

Members of AIGS have Reciprocal rights with a number of
interstate societies.

To use any of these Interstate
Libraries, please
present your AIGS membership card, along with a letter from the Office Manager stating you are a financial member of AIGS. (This letter is valid for three months). For members of the above Societies
to use the AIGS library, they must present their membership card at the
entry desk for verification and sign the admission book. This
dispensation does NOT apply to members of interstate societies who are
domiciled in Victoria.
Privacy Statement
The AIGS collects personal
information about members to allow it to maintain membership records
and provide services to members. If you indicate an interest in
volunteer or Interest Group activities, the information may be shared
within the
AIGS
to allow a response to this interest.
The AIGS does not disclose personal information to any third
party, unless the third party is contracted by the Institute to provide
administrative services or activities on its behalf. In these
circumstances the AIGS makes sure that the third party is bound by
the same rules. Personal information will also be disclosed in
accordance with the requirements of the law. At any time you may
request access to the personal information that the AIGS holds
about you and advise us of any inaccuracies.
If we do not obtain the
information we seek, we may not be able to:

renewal/application
▪ mail your copy of The Genealogist
▪ provide information about services offered by AIGS.
