[St. Botolph Aldgate was also known as St. Botolph- without-Aldgate, included the liberties of
East Smithfield and St. Katherine-by-the-Tower.]

St. Katherine by the Tower
weekly provisions for workhouse.    1828-1837.
     Journal of Assistant Overseer, with list of parish paupers.   1836-1840.
     Journal of the Master of the Workhouse, with events concerning it, including admissions,
     discharges, deaths, etc.   1835-1838.
     St. Katherine-by-the-Tower account book of expenses on behalf of individual paupers,
     with notes of admissions, discharge, etc. 1823-1831, with similar notes for the parishes
     of St. Olave, 1793-1799 & Camberwell, 1811-1821.
Miscellaneous parish poor law papers, including removal orders, accounts, notes relating to poor rate, voters registration list for  1856, 1851-1880.

[St. Marylebone Workhouse held up to 2,264 paupers at different times after 1843.
Those on ‘Outdoor Relief were handed a pittance  and lived where they could.
This was phased out as soon as possible

Wills before 1858 were proved in Ecclesiastical Courts. The principal one for  London were the Archdeaconry of  London and the Commissary  Court of London.
The principal ones for  Middlesex were the Archdeaconry of Middlesex, Archdeaconry of  London and the  Commissary Court of London.

The Superior Court was the  PCC. Prerogative Court of Canterbury.  (See England General).
