The London and Northern Home Counties Interest Group has now been amalgamated with the South East England Interest Group to form this new group. Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire have been dropped from the London Interest Group, and matters relating to Hampshire have been passed to the South West England Interest Group. Many members have ancestors who roamed from London into Surrey and Kent and further south, and vice-versa.

If you have ancestors from London, Middlesex, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Kent or Sussex, then please do come along to our group. The aim of this IG is to help each other with research through problem solving discussions and shared knowledge of resources available for 'our' counties.

We also aim to help members understand the byways, highways and pitfalls of researching in England in general.  Our meetings are informal and friendly, and newcomers to family history are very welcome. The new group will meet on the second Tuesday afternoon of the month at 2:00 pm in the meeting room. I look forward to seeing my old members and some new ones as well.
