Published by David Hume in 1839 this is a wonderful record of hundreds
of court decisions involving people from all over Scotland.

Calendar of Documents
The Commissary Court of Argyll which dealt mainly with
Executrices of the deceased although it also dealt with cases of small
debt and scandal i.e. defamation. Its jurisdiction was restricted
to the parishes
of mainland Argyll together with the parishes of Kilmallie,
Kilmonivaig and Glenelg in. The Calendar makes
available the listings of the Processes (i.e. the case papers), the
Petitions, the Edicts and the Bonds of Caution (i.e. the sureties) of
the Court.
The collection of Maps held in the
library is in paper format, and will be found in either the Maps Stands
or on top of the film cabinets in Map holders.
