The Blackburn Area of the Institute (formerly named Box Hill Area) conducts monthly meetings on the second  Wednesday of each month at 8.00pm, except for January.  Meetings are free for members of the Institute, however, there is a charge of $3.00 for non-members.

The meeting programs usually consist of a talk by a speaker on a subject associated with Family History, Genealogy or related subject.
This is followed by news of forthcoming events, news of the Institute and related bodies and an opportunity to socialise with other attendees over light refreshments.
