The Bendigo Area (AIGS) has a large collection of resources covering the Bendigo/Sandhurst district and the extensive Central Goldfields area of Victoria.

They also have access to all published B.D.M. and shipping indexes, many interstate indexes and English GRO indexes.

The members have published many indexes they have themselves compiled and they are working on many more.

The BENDIGO AREA FAMILY HISTORY GROUP meets on the third Sunday of the month, except for December, at The St. Kilians Parish Centre, 118 Hargreaves Street, Bendigo 3550 at 1.30pm

The Bendigo Area A.I.G.S. have created many databases on their computer, more extensive than the indexes that have been published on fiche.

The Computer Data base is only searchable on our computer on days when we are on duty at the Library (Wed 1-5 & Sat 10-1) and only with the assistance of a duty person .
Print outs are available, and we answer queries by mail. Unrestricted indexes have been published
